It was bound to happen..Master P is turning in his basketball shoes and exchanging it for some wrestling attire. This summer he will join the ranks of the WCW alongside folks like Stone Cold and others. He'll also be performing at one of the award ceremonies for the WCW. Since I'm not a wrestling fan, I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing. Maybe the WCW is going for the Hip Hop or the down south crowd. Or maybe they want an audience full of people saying 'Uuuuugh'. In any case we wish him look. I'm sure The Colonel will do for WCW what he couldn't do for the Hornets.

Speaking of Master P, he has officially launched his new line of basketball shoe. It's called the Allstar MP and believe it or not P had a hand in the designing. If that's not enough, he's just dropped a new single entitled 'Basketball' which is remake of the Kurtis Blow classic of the same name. I don't know how the rest of you all feel, but personally I like the song. I can say one thing Kurtis Blow should be getting a big fat check from Master P provided he still owns some of the rights to the song. The other group that should be getting a fat check from Master P is Outkast. Last week, Master P and his brothers Silk Tha Shocker and C-Murderer who collectively are known as TRU, went back to their old neighborhood stomping grounds in New Orleans to shoot a video for the song 'Hoody Hoo'. The video cost more then 1.5 million dollars and is based upon the underground classic from Outkast. Hoody Hoo is the first single of the TRU album entitled 'Da Crime Family'.

This is one of my nagging questions. Why haven't No Limit and Cash Money hooked up to do some sort of collaboration. Both are from New Orleans and with the spot light beaming down on that area, one would naturally think the two camps would hook up. Juvenile who has what is shaping up to be an anthem song for the summer with 'Back That Azz Up' has been on everyone lp from Jay-Z to Xzibit. When is he and Master gonna get down together? The other nagging question I have is when is producer Manny Fresh gonna get his props? He has got to be the most overlooked producer in the biz. Hit me back at mailto:kingdave@sirius.com.

*Since we're talking about Master P and his No Limit camp, lets give props to the Queen of the clan Mia X. She announced that she will be retiring from microphone duties after the release of her lp 'Superior'. She wants to head on back to college and obtain a law degree. Mia hopes to specialize in entertainment law so she can in turn help school younger artists on the ins and outs of the music biz.
